Can I Buy A Home With No Credit? | Rock-n-Roll Real Estate Agent

questions

Q: If I don?t have any credit can I still get a home loan?
?Jaz, Port Jervis, NY

A: Contact a local lender and/or mortgage broker. They would be in a best position to explain lender?s criteria and how your qualifications can satisfy those. There may be local programs that could assist you in qualifying and/or under the right guidance, with time you could qualify for a mortgage. Best of luck.

A: No, unfortunately the banks are going to want proof that you have paid things off on time. Most mortgages require a 620 credit score. You may want to sit down with a loan officer who will be able to tell you how to improve your credit score. Hope this helps.
